Andrei Kostin spoke about sanctions against him and wished good luck to Trump in Davos

The head of VTB Andrey Kostin made a speech at a conference in Davos. At the session “Strategic Forecast: Eurasia” he claimed that the Cold War did not end, but the leaders of the countries are afraid to talk about this issue. This was reported by Forbes.
He was asked what it was like to work under sanctions. Kostin answered that he doesn’t harbor bad feelings towards the American authorities, but considers his inclusion in the sanctions list to be unfair. He noted that he has been working as a banker for 28 years, but got listed for suspicions of hacking and interference in the affairs of Syria and Ukraine.
Kostin also said that he has always been working with bankers from the United States with no issues, but after imposing sanctions, he had to break off business relations with them.
Ngaire Woods, the dean of the Blavatnik School at the Oxford University, asked him about Russia’s “colonial” ambitions and the desire to return the Soviet Union. To this, Kostin confidently replied that it was no longer possible to return the USSR. Countries have been living their own lives for thirty years. All Russia wants is to restore cooperation.
Among other things, Kostin expressed his support for Donald Trump, President of the United States, against whom the process of impeachment was initiated.
